About this role
The Strategic Account Executive is responsible for retaining and growing existing large group accounts by upselling to higher-level products/services. The role acts as the primary customer contact and coordinates with internal partners to meet client expectations in the Connecticut market.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve retention and growth targets for Large Group accounts
- Upsell to higher-level products/services
- Cultivate trust-based relationships with brokers, consultants, and decision makers
- Develop strategic business plans and conduct broker/agency education
- Coordinate with internal partners to exceed client expectations
Technical Overview
This is a non-technical sales role with optional/desired familiarity with office tools, cloud-based software, and collaboration tools. Execution centers on consultative selling, complex sales process management, broker education, and strategic business planning rather than product engineering.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced sales professional (6+ years) who can grow and retain Large Group accounts through consultative, trust-based relationships. They will have strong broker/client coordination skills, can execute a complex sales process, and can develop strategic business plans while serving as the primary customer point of contact in Connecticut.
