About this role
Develop and execute strategic planning processes, create roadmaps and dashboards, and perform due diligence on potential acquisitions within a financial services/insurance context. Communicate insights to executives and lead cross-functional strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and establish strategic planning processes, plans, priorities, capabilities, measures of success
- Develop and/or maintain strategic roadmap and dashboards/tracking mechanisms
- Coordinate with strategic planning contacts to develop a holistic process
- Create and deliver strategic presentations for Board/Executive updates
- Roll up your sleeves for due diligence and strategic-fit analysis on potential acquisitions
Technical Overview
Involves strategic frameworks, Excel/PowerPoint-based analytics, and cross-functional collaboration for corporate development and strategy execution; preference for LEAN Six Sigma experience.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a strategic planning leader with 8+ years of experience in insurance/financial services, capable of developing strategic roadmaps, leading due diligence on acquisitions, and communicating with executives using MS Office tools.
Must-Have Skills
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experienceEight years of strategic planning experience in a similar environment or in a planning/consultant roleAbility to communicate with all levels of the organization to guide in strategic planning fundamentals and plan executionAnalytical and problem-solving skills to plan strategytactics and perform root cause analysisPresentation skills to create and deliver information to a wide audienceFamiliarity with project management toolslifecyclesetc.Proficiency using MS Office tools
