MassMutual is looking for a Strategic Expense Management Analyst to support financial planning, analysis, and reporting for technology spend. The role drives improvements in financial processes and provides actionable insights through budgeting, forecasting, month-end analysis, KPI tracking, and scenario modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead components of annual budgets, long-range plans, and quarterly forecasts
- Support month-end reporting with data validation and variance analysis
- Enhance and maintain financial models, templates, and tools
- Analyze trends, risks, drivers, and opportunities and track KPIs
- Perform scenario modeling and sensitivity analyses to support cost management and investment evaluations
Technical Overview
This role is focused on analytical finance work, including building and maintaining financial models and templates, performing variance analysis, and conducting scenario modeling and sensitivity analyses. It also includes recommending process improvements for reporting and data quality, and leveraging BI tools to deliver clear, timely reporting to senior finance leaders.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced finance professional with 5+ years of experience who can independently drive strategic expense management analysis for technology spend. They are strong in budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting, variance analysis, KPI tracking, and scenario/sensitivity modeling, and they communicate actionable insights to senior finance leaders and cross-functional partners.
