About this role
This Fall 2026 Strategic Sourcing Intern role supports the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement teams. The intern will work on supplier management, sourcing strategy, RFIs/RFQs/RFPs, spend data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist sourcing efficiency, cost effectiveness, and risk mitigation projects
- Support Sourcing Managers with new item requests and customer bid reviews
- Gather, review, and analyze RFIs and RFQs
- Conduct market research to find sourcing opportunities and supplier alternatives
- Maintain sourcing data, system updates, and documentation for continuous improvement
Technical Overview
The technical scope is procurement-focused: analyzing spend and supplier performance metrics, supporting sourcing documentation, and organizing sourcing data and system updates. The role requires strong spreadsheet skills using Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a motivated, detail-oriented student (Sophomore, Junior, or Senior) pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business. They have strong analytical and organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience (or coursework) supporting procurement activities like RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, spend analysis, and market research.
