About this role

Jacobs seeks a Structural Engineer to join the design team, performing structural analysis and design with potential to act as Engineer of Record and Lead Structural Engineer on electronics and semiconductor facilities projects.

Key Responsibilities

With no supervision, competently perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design
Plan and conduct work requiring judgement in independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
Exercise sound engineering judgement and problem-solving skills
Possess advanced knowledge of principles and practices of lateral analysis and design (wind and seismic), including ability to apply required provisions of the building code
Exhibit a high level of attention to detail and quality control

Role centers on structural engineering within US building codes, with emphasis on seismic and wind design, coordination with other disciplines, and leadership of structural design work and documentation.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior structural engineer with 15+ years of experience, licensed as SE or PE, and a strong foundation in IBC/ASCE7/ACI/AISC. They should have proven leadership on electronics/semiconductor facilities projects and be capable of serving as Engineer of Record and leading a design team.
