Structural Engineer-Kiewit Nuclear Solutions

This senior structural engineering role supports Kiewit Nuclear Solutions by performing static and dynamic analyses and designing structural systems for buildings and industrial structures. You will also support FEED and detailed engineering/procurement/construction activities and lead and mentor other engineers as needed.

• Perform static and dynamic structural analyses using ANSYS APDL, SAP2000, GT STRUDL, STAAD Pro, LS-Dyna or similar
• Design buildings and building foundations, equipment platforms and foundations, pipe racks, and miscellaneous concrete and steel structures
• Prepare quantities and cost estimates and supporting documentation
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and regulatory endorsed industry codes and standards
• Support FEED and detailed engineering, procurement and construction support activities while mentoring engineers

The technical scope includes structural modeling and analysis using ANSYS APDL, SAP2000, GT STRUDL, STAAD Pro, LS-Dyna (or similar tools), plus design of foundations, equipment platforms, pipe racks, and concrete/steel structures. The role emphasizes regulatory code compliance and Kiewit Nuclear Solutions Quality Assurance.

The ideal candidate is a senior structural engineer who can independently perform static and dynamic structural analyses and confidently use industry tools like ANSYS APDL, SAP2000, GT STRUDL, STAAD Pro, and/or LS-Dyna. They ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality assurance expectations while mentoring intermediate and early career engineers.
