About this role
This role develops structural repair instructions and conducts substantiation analyses for Textron Aviation jet and propeller aircraft. It ensures repair data complies with FAA requirements and internal engineering standards while supporting certification, safety, and continued airworthiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop structural repair instructions and engineering drawings
- Perform structural analyses for repair solutions
- Ensure repairs comply with FAA regulations and Textron Aviation standards
- Prepare structural reports and support FAA and ODA approval
- Collaborate with customers and service centers for troubleshooting, AOG events, and field repairs
Technical Overview
You will review damage assessments and certification data, then perform structural analyses (including load path, strength, and durability evaluation) using CATIA and finite-element analysis methods. You will also develop structural test programs and prepare compliance-focused structural reports for FAA/ODA approvals.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced Structural Repair Engineer who can develop structural repair instructions and perform structural analyses to support FAA certification and continued airworthiness. They have hands-on experience using CATIA and finite-element analysis, and they can produce compliance-ready repair documentation while coordinating with ODA Unit Members, DERs, and FAA representatives.
