About this role
Substation Engineering Intern providing drafting and design support for substation projects, collaborating with seasoned engineers to upgrade and expand infrastructure under a hybrid work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support substation projects including equipment upgrades and capacity expansions
- Create/update drawings such as single line diagrams and AC & DC schematics
- Assist with indoor/outdoor equipment arrangements and control room layouts
- Support other team members with drawings and documentation
- Utilize substation software for design tasks
Technical Overview
Exposure to substation design including SLDs and AC/DC schematics with SCADA-related tools; contributes to drawings and documentation for equipment such as relays, meters, batteries, and switchgear.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an engineering intern pursuing an electrical engineering degree, with hands-on interest in substation design, and strong capability in reading SLDs and schematics. Must be able to work in a hybrid setting in Fresno and demonstrate reliable transportation.
