About this role
Join S&P Global’s Quality Engineering team as a Summer Intern, helping develop and execute test scripts across multiple testing types. You’ll support test strategy planning, validate data with SQL, track defects, and collaborate in Agile teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn to develop, maintain, and execute test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and usability testing
- Assist in creating test strategies, plans, and scenarios for coverage of requirements
- Gain hands-on experience with SQL for test validation and data analysis
- Support defect tracking and produce basic testing metrics
- Collaborate in Agile teams and maintain documentation
Technical Overview
Hands-on QA work includes functional, regression, integration, and usability testing using both manual and automated approaches. The role emphasizes SQL for test validation and data analysis and exposure to tools such as Selenium, Tosca, and Postman within an Agile development environment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a current student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Engineering and has a basic foundation in programming (Python, Java, or C/C++) and SQL. They’re motivated to learn software quality assurance and testing practices, can collaborate in Agile teams, and have some hands-on exposure to test execution and defect tracking.
