About this role

MassMutual Ventures is hiring a Summer Investment Associate, Climate Technology for a 10-week, paid, full-time in-person role in Boston. The associate will support the climate tech investment team across research, sourcing, diligence, financial analysis, and portfolio support, including drafting investment memos.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thematic & sector research and support proactive sourcing
Perform investment analysis (market, competitive, and company-specific diligence)
Draft and refine investment memos
Support portfolio companies with ad-hoc research and value-creation analysis
Build and maintain internal tools to improve team efficiency

Technical Overview

This is a hands-on venture capital investing role focused on early-stage climate technology. The candidate performs market/competitive/company diligence, produces investment memo materials, and supports portfolio companies with market and value-creation analysis, while helping improve internal processes and tools.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an MBA or graduate student expected to graduate between 2026 and 2028 (with intended graduation in 2027) and is interested in early-stage climate technology investing. They have 3+ years of relevant industry/role experience, can conduct market/competitive diligence, draft investment memos, and communicate clearly in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
