About this role
This role supervises and leads the plant machinists and millwrights, administering the plant maintenance function to support reliable manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include safety oversight, food safety system support, equipment maintenance and upgrades, and maintaining SOP compliance with daily maintenance logs.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead plant machinists and millwrights
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment including monthly safety meetings and inspections
- Support and improve the food safety system
- Ensure maintenance supplies, materials, and parts availability to avoid operational interruptions
- Maintain equipment through proper maintenance and upgrades; document daily logs and equipment PMs
Technical Overview
The technical scope focuses on mechanical plant maintenance operations: equipment PMs, technical problem resolution, maintenance planning, and ensuring parts/material availability. It also involves food safety system administration and process improvement activities supported by daily logs and SOP execution.
