About this role
This role leads linehaul (LH) supply chain efforts focused on improving middle mile transportation performance across North America. You analyze carrier and market trends using RLB and RCM programs, use Voice of the Carrier feedback, and partner cross-functionally to improve cost, Delivery Estimate Accuracy (DEA), and capacity for Amazon Transportation Services (ATS).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Linehaul (LH) supply chain initiatives for middle mile transportation
- Analyze market and carrier behavior trends using Relay Load Board (RLB) and Relay Contract Marketplace (RCM)
- Improve Cost, Delivery Estimate Accuracy (DEA), and Capacity for Amazon Transportation Services (ATS)
- Apply Voice of the Carrier (VOC) feedback and collaborate cross-functionally to advocate Amazon needs
- Own strategic long term planning and tactical projects/programs including metrics and impact analysis
Technical Overview
The technical scope centers on transportation program analytics and performance measurement, including planned vs actual network performance and impact analysis of product initiatives. You manage program objectives, influence supply stakeholders’ decisions, and improve program liquidity and carrier execution using RLB and RCM.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a supply chain leader with a strong delivery record, strong analytical skills, and proven project management experience. They have managed linehaul/middle mile transportation initiatives and used program analytics (Relay Load Board and Relay Contract Marketplace) to improve cost, Delivery Estimate Accuracy (DEA), and carrier capacity for Amazon Transportation Services (ATS).
