About this role

Per Diem Surgical Technician First Assist supports surgeons in the OR, providing exposure, hemostasis, and other technical functions under supervision, with a focus on dexterity and sterile technique.

Key Responsibilities

Assist surgeons with exposure and hemostasis
Attend to patient care under RN supervision
Anticipate needs of surgeon and team
Maintain dexterity for procedures
Adhere to staff bylaws and safety protocols

Technical Overview

Operates within the perioperative setting requiring CSFA/CSA/SA-C certification and BLS; duties include first assisting and maintaining infection control.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced surgical technician with First Assistant certification (CSFA/CSA/SA-C) and BLS, able to assist surgeons across various procedures in a per diem capacity.
