About this role
This role provides safe, competent surgical assistance to surgeons during operative procedures as a Certified Surgical First Assistant. The position is part-time with varied shifts at West Henderson Hospital, requiring active certifications and perioperative expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists surgeons with exposure, hemostasis, and other technical functions for safe operations
- Attends to patients' direct care needs under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and team for the procedure
- Demonstrates and maintains dexterity for successful completion of assistant duties
- Maintains professional attitude, dignity, privacy, and safety of the patient
Technical Overview
The successful candidate will perform exposure, hemostasis, and technical assistance under RN supervision, maintaining dexterity and professional conduct within the perioperative setting; required certifications must be current.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level surgical tech with 3+ years of experience, certified as CSFA or CSA or SA-C, with BLS, seeking part-time varied shifts at West Henderson Hospital in Henderson, NV.
