AWS seeks a System Development Engineer for AI/ML Accelerator Server systems with a focus on leading SSD automation initiatives. The role involves systems debugging, designing and implementing automation capabilities, and leading the SysDE community to eliminate redundant manual work.

Lead SSD team automation ideation, design, and implementation

Technical Overview

Work within AWS Hardware Engineering (HWEng) storage organizations to ideate, design, and implement Solid-State Drive (SSD) automation capabilities used across server platform teams (including AI/ML servers). Emphasis is on end-to-end systems debugging, diagnosing component interaction issues, and delivering improvements to AWS storage platforms at large cloud scale.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a mid-level System Development Engineer with strong hardware-to-software systems debugging skills, particularly for server and storage components. They can lead the ideation, design, and implementation of Solid-State Drive (SSD) automation capabilities and drive down manual, redundant operational effort via community leadership.
