Systems Administrator

This is a contract to permanent Systems Administrator role supporting production-critical IT infrastructure in Milford, New Hampshire with remote work mode. You will manage Windows servers and virtualization, administer Active Directory and Group Policy, and ensure patching, security, and backup/recovery/disaster recovery are in place.

• Manage and maintain on-premises infrastructure including Windows servers and virtualization
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and user access controls
• Ensure systems are updated and secure through patching and configuration standards
• Develop and oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
• Serve as an escalation point for advanced technical issues and troubleshoot complex infrastructure problems

The role covers on-premises infrastructure administration including Windows servers, storage, and virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V). You will handle identity and access management with Active Directory and Group Policy, manage patching and configuration standards, and support network basics like VPNs, firewalls, and VLANs alongside endpoint protection and access control mechanisms. You will also act as an escalation point for advanced technical issues and produce technical documentation.

The ideal candidate is a systems administrator who can manage on-premises Windows server infrastructure and virtualization platforms. They have strong hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, patching/updates, and backup/recovery/disaster recovery planning. They can troubleshoot complex server and infrastructure issues, support VPN/firewall/VLAN connectivity fundamentals, and serve as an escalation point for advanced problems.
