About this role
Systems and Instrumentation Field Engineer for Baker Hughes; performs commissioning, installation, maintenance of Bently Nevada hardware/software across customer sites; travel-heavy hybrid role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing and validation of equipment to ensure objectives and specs
- Install and configure Bently Nevada hardware/software
- Respond to emergency repair requests and troubleshoot
- Provide technical instruction to customers on installation/operation
- Prepare technical reports and time/expense sheets
Technical Overview
Focus on instrumentation and machine protection systems; experience with Modbus/OPC, networking, calibration, and troubleshooting; TWIC eligibility and travel are required; uses Microsoft Office and Windows OS.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on commissioning field engineer with 4+ years of instrumentation/process control experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and TWIC eligibility. They should be comfortable traveling 65-80% and working across multiple locations.
