About this role
Suncoast Credit Union seeks a Systems Engineer to design, implement, maintain, automate, and document enterprise infrastructure systems in a hybrid environment. The role centers on one or more key platforms (Zerto, Exchange, Active Directory, VMware, SAN/storage, Rubrik, Citrix) and on leading Ansible automation and IaC adoption with Terraform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, integrate, and maintain core infrastructure platforms
- Lead and expand Ansible automation with Ansible playbooks
- Execute changes using MOPs and Change Control processes
- Provide Level 3 incident response, escalation handling, and service restoration
- Publish ServiceNow KB articles and maintain comprehensive security hardening documentation
Technical Overview
You will manage core infrastructure platforms, perform patching and health checks, and handle Level 3 incidents with escalation and service restoration including after-hours OnCall support. The role requires creating Ansible playbooks for provisioning and compliance, integrating automation into workflows using IaC practices (Ansible and Terraform), and publishing ServiceNow KB documentation alongside security hardening evidence.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior systems engineer with deep infrastructure expertise in one or more of Zerto, Exchange (on-prem and hybrid), Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, VMware, SAN, Rubrik, IBM Hosts, and Citrix. They also lead Ansible automation by building and maintaining Ansible playbooks, integrate automation with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, and document knowledge in ServiceNow while supporting Level 3 incident response and secure change processes.
