About this role
The Systems Engineer II/III will support full-lifecycle engineering design and development for unmanned surface vehicle programs. The role emphasizes requirements analysis, systems modeling (SysML), integration planning, test and verification, and presenting engineering work products to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support full-lifecycle systems engineering design and development
- Perform requirements analysis, impact assessments, and trade studies
- Use SysML (Systems Modeling Language) for systems modeling and requirements derivation
- Plan and execute integration, test, verification, and risk management activities
- Prepare and present systems engineering work products at program milestones
Technical Overview
You will execute systems engineering tasks including requirements derivation and allocation, impact assessments, trade studies, risk management, and engineering analysis using SysML (Systems Modeling Language). The role is expected to leverage tools such as DOORS, JIRA, and Cameo/MagicDraw, with strong preference for Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) experience and Department of Defense (DoD) environment experience.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level systems engineer with at least 2 years of experience supporting full-lifecycle engineering design and development. They have strong requirements analysis and integration planning experience, familiarity with SysML, and have used tools such as DOORS, JIRA, and Cameo/MagicDraw, ideally in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
