About this role

Trace3 is hiring a Systems Engineer – MBSE Specialist to serve as a subject matter expert for Model-Based Systems Engineering. The role leads system architecture modeling in SysML using Dassault Cameo tools and supports architecture development by converting DoDAF artifacts and technical documentation into structured SysML models.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain system architecture models using SysML in Dassault Cameo tools
Serve as the Cameo and SysML subject matter expert across engineering teams
Mentor and guide systems engineers and architects on MBSE tools, SysML standards
Translate existing technical documentation and DoDAF artifacts into structured SysML models
Support system architecture development using MBSE and digital engineering best practices

Technical Overview

You will develop and maintain system architecture models in SysML within Dassault Cameo (Enterprise Architect, Collaborator, Teamwork Cloud). You will act as the MBSE and Cameo subject matter expert across engineering teams, helping ensure correct SysML standards and applying digital engineering best practices.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) specialist with hands-on experience building system architecture models in SysML. They have strong tool proficiency with Dassault Cameo (Enterprise Architect, Collaborator, and Teamwork Cloud) and experience translating DoDAF artifacts and technical documentation into structured SysML models, ideally as a subject matter expert mentoring engineering teams. The candidate also holds an active Secret clearance (or was active within the past 24 months).
