About this role
Staff Modeling and Simulation Engineer (Level 5) supporting the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program on the System Performance and Analysis team. The role provides technical contributions and guidance to modeling and simulation products supporting MDA requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Ground Weapons System (GWS) program modeling and simulation technical contributions
- Provide guidance to modeling and simulation products for Missile Defense Agency (MDA)
- Perform system performance and analysis and support trade studies
- Develop, prototype, and evaluate complex algorithms
- Support IRADs and capture efforts as required
Technical Overview
Work focuses on defense modeling and simulation for system performance analysis, using MATLAB and Python for analytics. The engineer develops, prototypes, and evaluates complex algorithms and performs planning/scheduling trade studies, within an in-person/closed-area environment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior Modeling and Simulation Engineer with strong MATLAB and Python analytics experience, including developing, prototyping, and evaluating complex algorithms. They have direct experience supporting system performance and analysis for defense programs and can contribute independently within a fast-paced, cross-experience team. The candidate must hold an active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance.
