About this role
Build new presentation features and complex gameplay systems for EA SPORTS College Football. Collaborate across design, engineering, and content teams to prototype, implement, iterate, and polish features through live tuning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop gameplay systems and innovate on gameplay systems
- Implement and drive gameplay systems and/or modes from concept to ship quality
- Align and collaborate across disciplines and communicate gameplay vision
- Ensure high-quality release via bug fixing and balancing
- Create scripting-driven implementations (logic, state machines, event flows, data setup) and quick prototype new features
Technical Overview
You will implement gameplay systems and modes using scripting-driven logic such as state machines, event flows, and scalable data setup. The role emphasizes end-to-end development from concept through ship quality with ongoing bug fixing and balancing.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Technical Game Designer who has shipped multiple titles and can build gameplay systems and modes end-to-end from concept to ship quality. They have strong experience with scripting languages (Lua, Python, and/or Javascript) and can implement scalable, scripting-driven logic such as state machines and event flows.
