About this role

Technical Specialist II/III/Sr - Automation will support and advance Williams' automation systems in natural gas/petrochemical settings, including PLC programming, HMI development, and troubleshooting of control and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Performs moderately difficult assignments to ensure system integrity, support pipeline operations, maintain compliance and facility equipment
Troubleshoots/resolves sophisticated problems using technical evaluation and judgment
Develops, presents and trains internal and external partners; may mentor others
Participates in project planning with company partners
Configures, builds, and maintains HMI screens for station and unit systems

Technical Overview

Focus on industrial automation with PLC/HMI, control system configuration, firmware management, instrumentation, and cross-site collaboration; requires strong MS Office skills and travel readiness.

The ideal candidate is a senior automation engineer with eight or more years in natural gas or petrochemical environments, proficient in PLC/HMI programming, and experienced with station/unit controls, firmware updates, and reliability practices.
