Technical Support Engineer providing hands-on troubleshooting and system support for Symbotic’s automated warehouse systems across client sites, including stand-up and ongoing operations.

Technical Overview
Role spans software, controls, networking, and infrastructure with VMware virtualization, AD, Windows/Linux/Mac, and remote access. Requires on-call support and travel.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a technically skilled support engineer with 3+ years of experience supporting complex manufacturing/automation systems remotely, strong virtualization (VMware) and Windows/Linux/Mac expertise, and the ability to troubleshoot network and control-system issues.
Must-Have Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Controls Engineering or a directly related fieldMinimum of 3 year experience with supporting systems remotely by connecting to various system types via Remote DesktopSSHbrowseretc.Experience with VMWare or other server/desktop virtualization platforms and managementAbility to troubleshoot VMs at an advanced level using VCenter and other toolsStrong ability to multi-task and prioritize action; and effective troubleshooting problem solving skillsExperience with Server and Storage Array hardwareMastery of Active DirectoryAdvanced Knowledge of command line and environment variables. (Linux++)Experience with supporting systems remotely by connecting to various system types via Remote DesktopSSHbrowseretc.Advanced Knowledge of VMWare or other server/desktop virtualization platforms and management.Advanced Knowledge of troubleshooting TCP/IP based networksprotocols and familiarity with electrical schematics.
