About this role
AMD is seeking a Technical Writer to support the Architecture Team with documentation for chiplet interconnects, memory interfaces, and external I/O. The role focuses on turning complex hardware concepts into clear, structured materials and maintaining a robust knowledge base.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing technical documentation, specifications, and presentations; work with IP architects and senior writers; support architectural specifications and programmer references; integrate engineering collateral into singlesource workflows; maintain chiplet-level specifications and hardware reference materials
Technical Overview
Role involves creating architectural specifications, programmer references, and hardware documentation using Confluence and Adobe FrameMaker, with familiarity in SoCs, IP blocks, firmware, and interfaces like PCIe, DDR, I2C/I3C.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level to early-career technical writer with hands-on experience using Adobe FrameMaker and strong written communication skills to document complex silicon architecture topics. They should be collaborative, detail-oriented, and eager to work closely with AMD engineers to produce high-quality internal and external documentation.
