About this role
Lead telecommunications design for advanced facilities, delivering 3D BIM and 2D design packages while coordinating with architects and other engineers. Ensure designs comply with NEC, TIA and client Jacobs specifications.

Technical Overview
Scope includes Outside Plant to backbone distribution, communication room layouts, rack elevations, and cable schedules using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and Bluebeam with NEC/NFPA 70 and TIA standards.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior telecommunications systems designer with at least 6 years of telecom design experience, proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and Bluebeam, and with NEC and TIA standards knowledge. Willing to lead design teams and collaborate across disciplines on complex facilities.
Must-Have Skills
Two-year technical degree or four-year non-technical degreeAt least 6 years of relevant experience in telecommunications design and construction industryKnowledge & application of NFPA 70 (NEC) as applicable to telecommunications design requirementsKnowledge & application of telecommunications industry association (TIA) standardsExperience leading telecommunications design teamExperience editing design and construction specificationsExperience with start-up and commissioning of telecommunications systemsExperience estimating and scheduling design efforts for large multi-building projects with multiple phases and design packagesStrong structured cabling design backgroundProficiency with BluebeamEffective verbal and written communication skillsFamiliarity with Navisworks
