About this role
US Foods is hiring a Territory Manager to grow and manage customer relationships, sell food and non-food items, and meet sales and profitability goals. The role also handles delivery routing schedule execution, troubleshooting order/delivery issues, and collecting accounts receivable with the credit team.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster and manage primary customer relationships in a team based selling model
- Sell and engage customers in value added activities
- Manage deliveries to the routing schedule and troubleshoot order/delivery problems
- Collect accounts receivable in partnership with the credit department based on approved credit terms
- Develop new business by identifying prospective customers and attending trade shows and conferences
Technical Overview
This is a field sales and delivery performance role with operational responsibilities around routing schedules and order exceptions. It involves using market intelligence databases and business directories to identify prospects and supports customers through value-added selling and product knowledge.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a sales professional with 1+ years of territory sales experience in the foodservice industry (preferred), who can build and manage strong customer relationships while driving sales and profitability goals. They are comfortable troubleshooting order and delivery issues, collecting accounts receivable with the credit team, and using market intelligence to develop new business.
