About this role
This Territory Sales Representative role grows market share in a defined territory by building relationships with retail customers and store managers and executing the company’s sales and promotional plans. The role focuses on distribution expansion, increasing shelf presence, and reporting results regularly.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain retail customer relationships to increase market share
- Execute sales plan through expanded SKU distribution and improved shelf space
- Execute Annual Operating Plan (AOP) including promotional events and calendars
- Submit regular recaps outlining objectives, results, barriers and opportunities
- Stay abreast of product knowledge and competitor offerings
Technical Overview
The role is primarily sales-execution oriented: implement the sales plan via SKU distribution, shelf space improvements, displays, brand collateral placement, and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) promotional calendars. Use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to submit recaps and maintain reporting cadence.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Territory Sales Representative who can grow market share within a defined territory by building relationships with retail customers and store managers while executing the sales plan. They have a Bachelor's degree and/or 1+ years of sales or management experience, strong negotiation and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
