About this role

GovCIO is hiring a remote Tester to support the Readiness and Employment System contract for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, focusing on designing, executing, and reporting on testing activities.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement testing methods and equipment
Create test plans and scenarios
Collaborate with development/requirements teams
Develop test procedures and automation
Produce test activity reports and metrics

Technical Overview

Hands-on testing across test cases, plans, and automation within an Agile/Scrum environment; collaboration with development and requirements teams; exposure to Jira-based test management.

Ideal Candidate

An experienced tester with 5-8 years in QA, comfortable with Jira and test management in a government context, capable of working fully remote and engaging stakeholders effectively.

Must-Have Skills

Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)Experience with Jira or other test management toolsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsU.S. citizensPermanent residents that have resided continuously in the United States for a minimum of three (3) consecutive years immediately preceding their start date with GovCIO
