About this role
This role is responsible for end-to-end development and delivery of thermal and/or mechanical solutions for AMD Data Center platforms. The Thermal Engineer will design thermal solutions, validate thermal-mechanical hardware at multiple levels, and drive process improvements to meet fast time-to-market goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design thermal solutions for next generation Data Center Systems
- Collaborate across silicon, board, and power engineering for thermal-mechanical design
- Contribute to product cycle from conceptualization through mass production
- Perform thermal validation at chip, card and system level
- Identify and evaluate novel thermal technologies and drive process improvements
Technical Overview
The technical scope includes thermal design and validation across chip, card, and system levels, plus technology development for Data Center products. You will integrate with a global engineering team spanning silicon, board, and power engineering and evaluate novel thermal technologies with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level Thermal Engineer with strong thermal and mechanical development experience across silicon-to-systems platforms. They can design and validate thermal solutions at chip, card, and system levels, collaborate with silicon, board, and power engineering teams, and identify novel thermal technologies aligned to the product roadmap.
