About this role
Serve as the site expert for maintaining automation systems that support fulfillment operations. Troubleshoot material handling control systems, monitor MHE performance metrics, and perform System Assessments to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain site automation systems critical for operations
- Maintain and troubleshoot MHE control systems including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks
- Monitor MHE metrics and partner to address performance issues
- Provide first-level escalation support locally and remotely
- Perform and analyze building System Assessments for performance enhancements
Technical Overview
Works with PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks including Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, along with motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems. Uses SCADA devices and programs and conducts building System Assessments to enhance material handling system performance.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level Automation Engineer (TOL3) with 2+ years of PLC programming or automation engineering experience. They can troubleshoot material handling control systems using PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus), and they can analyze building System Assessments to improve reliability and performance.
