About this role
This role supervises daily transportation routing operations in a distribution center, including assigning drivers to loads and ensuring compliance with DOT and company policies. You will lead performance meetings, coach associates, investigate incidents, and perform root cause analysis to address Safety, Service, and Cost KPI misses.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily work direction to frontline associates
- Assign drivers to loads ensuring compliance with Company and DOT guidelines
- Lead daily performance meetings and provide coaching and corrective action
- Investigate accidents & injury incidents and perform root cause analysis for Safety, Service and Cost KPI misses
- Ensure drivers comply with Company, Federal and Local laws and regulations
Technical Overview
The role uses technical systems for reporting and analytics to support daily operational decisions. It also requires familiarity with transportation regulations and routing/scheduling workflows, with preferred experience in Prospero, XRS (ZATA/Omnitracs), Lytx, and One Network.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a logistics transportation supervisor with 2-4 years of supervisory experience managing drivers, routing, and daily transportation operations. They have strong knowledge of DOT and other transportation regulations, can lead performance meetings, and use technical systems for reporting and analytics, with familiarity preferred in Prospero, XRS (ZATA/Omnitracs), Lytx, and One Network.
