Lead Hartford's Claims Data Science organization, aligning AI capabilities with Claims strategy to improve outcomes and experiences; manage a portfolio of production AI solutions and develop new ML/Generative AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee a Data Science organization to build AI capabilities across the claim lifecycle
  • Lead AI strategy and multi-year roadmap
  • Hire, train and manage staff with budget oversight
  • Partner with technology, data, AI platform, MLOps and Architecture teams
  • Serve on Claims leadership team with cross-functional influence

Role focuses on developing AI/ML capabilities across the claim lifecycle, embedding AI into workflows, and governing model lifecycle and responsible AI practices within a scaled agile environment.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an executive with 10+ years of data science or AI experience in insurance, who can lead a mature claims data science portfolio and drive strategy for Generative AI/Agentic AI initiatives while collaborating with technology, data, and architecture teams.
