About this role
Cage Undefined is looking for a volunteer Cybersecurity Specialist to help animal rights organizations defend against cyberattacks. The role involves conducting security audits and performing white hat activities such as penetration testing and phishing campaigns using risk management and threat intelligence.

This is a cybersecurity-focused volunteer role emphasizing knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST and ISO 27001) and practical security testing. The scope includes security audits, risk management, threat intelligence, and execution of penetration testing and phishing campaigns, with a broader mission to support secure infrastructure (including encrypted mail services).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a cybersecurity professional with certifiable experience, strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001, and hands-on capability performing security audits. They can apply risk management and threat intelligence practices and are comfortable with white hat activities including penetration testing and phishing campaigns. They are mission-driven, remote-capable, and able to contribute at least 2 hours per week.
