About this role
This role serves as the liaison between Operations and IT, supporting Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) through evaluation, configuration, testing, and end-user training. It focuses on translating requirements into functional specifications and driving process improvements while resolving system issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and research existing WMS and configure/test/support business functions
- Translate user requirements into functional requirements with process models
- Determine project scope, resolve system issues, and manage configuration changes
- Coordinate and implement test cases and define system validation
- Train end users on modifications to existing and new processes
Technical Overview
The analyst works with WMS and order management applications alongside database systems, performing WMS configuration changes and coordinating test cases. Responsibilities include functional requirement translation, process modeling (diagrams/charts), Excel-based analysis, and potentially SAP-related knowledge.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a logistics systems analyst with 1+ year of experience implementing logistics/WMS solutions in distribution environments. They can configure and test Warehouse Management Systems, translate user requirements into functional requirements, manage test cases, and provide end-user training, with strong Excel and change management skills.
