About this role
Weekend Youth Psychiatric APRN will assess and treat youth with psychiatric and medical needs in an inpatient/hospital setting, provide crisis intervention, administer medications, and support milieu management and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assessment of patients' psychiatric and medical status
- Administer medication and medical treatment as prescribed by physician
- Assess, direct and intervene in crisis situations
- Initiate and document special treatment procedures
- Provide and direct milieu management
Technical Overview
Clinical leadership in a psychiatric inpatient environment using APRN-level care, with responsibilities spanning assessments, medication administration, crisis intervention, and IOP/PHP pathways within a hospital.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a PMHNP-BC with experience in inpatient youth behavioral health, weekend availability, and strong skills in crisis intervention and milieu management. They should hold a DEA license and be able to administer medications and document care in a fast-paced setting.
