About this role
Intermediate-level welder role focused on completing assigned fitting and welding tasks for compression and production equipment. Work includes blueprint reading, component layout, fixture/jig setup, and welding using multiple processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform fitting and welding on compression and production equipment using SMAW/GMAW/SCAW/SAW
- Read and understand blueprints
- Interpret customer specifications and applicable industry codes and standards
- Layout structural and piping components using hand tools
- Position fixtures, jigs, pin wheels, and rolls
Technical Overview
Performs fitting and welding using SMAW, GMAW, SCAW, and SAW. Requires the ability to read blueprints and interpret customer specifications and applicable industry codes and standards, along with basic computer and communication skills.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an intermediate-level welder with 2+ years of related experience performing fitting and welding on compression and production equipment. They are proficient with SMAW, GMAW, SCAW, and SAW, can read and understand blueprints, and can interpret customer specifications alongside applicable industry codes and standards.
