About this role
Well Services Mechanics are responsible for repairing, installing, and maintaining fracturing machinery systems in both the field and shop. The role includes troubleshooting, performing inspections and quality checks, managing maintenance and overhaul work, and logging required paperwork with daily updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair, install, adjust and maintain fracturing machinery systems
- Attach hoisting cables and perform equipment lifting setup
- Troubleshoot, test, and evaluate machinery operation
- Inspect parts and install reconditioned/new components
- Perform preventative/planned/unplanned maintenance, overhaul, quality checks, and log paperwork
Technical Overview
Hands-on mechanical work on fracturing equipment, pumps, engines, and related components. Duties include attaching hoisting cables, disassembling/cleaning equipment, replacing and reconditioning parts such as brake bands, clutch plates, sprockets, and pump cylinders, and performing tests (including test-run engines) plus preventative and unplanned maintenance.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mechanics professional with experience maintaining and repairing well services equipment, especially fracturing machinery and pumps. They can troubleshoot mechanical problems, perform preventative and unplanned maintenance, and install/recondition parts accurately while following safety procedures outdoors and in the field/shop.
