About this role
This role prepares and builds wire harness components and supports wire harness assembly for use in various assemblies. The Lead is responsible for performing assembly, troubleshooting, rework, and training others while coordinating with internal teams to support schedules and parts availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, troubleshoot and rework wire harness assemblies
- Run wire cutting machine to create kits for assemblies
- Lay out, route, and connect wiring to connectors, switches, and plugs
- Test harnesses for continuity and accuracy using circuit analyzer, test board and ohmmeter
- Train others on wire assembly operations and coordinate with cross-functional teams
Technical Overview
Hands-on electrical/aviation wiring assembly work involving wiring layout and routing, connector/switch/plug installation, soldering and splicing, and continuity/accuracy testing using a circuit analyzer, test board, and ohmmeter. Work is performed from blueprints, planning diagrams, schematics, and assembly drawings using jigs, routing boards, and harness assembly boards.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a wire harness assembler who can lead day-to-day assembly activities on the second shift. They have hands-on experience assembling, soldering, splicing, and reworking wire harnesses using continuity testing equipment (circuit analyzer, test board, ohmmeter) and they can interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings while coordinating parts and workflow.
