About this role
Textron Aviation is hiring a Wire Harness Assembler for the second shift in its Kansas team. The role supports building and preparing wire harness components and kits by routing, connecting, soldering/splicing, and verifying continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Run wire cutting machine to create kits
- Lay out, route, and connect wiring to connectors/switches/plugs
- Solder/splice and check continuity with test equipment
- Maintain focus and accuracy using harness assembly boards
- Perform other related duties as required
Technical Overview
You will prepare and build wire harness components by using harness assembly boards and working from oral/written instructions and shop practices. Responsibilities include operating wire cutting machines, assembling wiring to connectors/switches/plugs, performing soldering and splicing, and using ohmmeters and continuity testers to check continuity.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level manufacturing associate with at least 6+ months of small parts assembly experience and hands-on skills assembling wire harness components. They are comfortable working with soldering, splicing, and continuity checks using ohmmeters and continuity testers in a detailed production environment.
