About this role
This role supervises and maintains safe, efficient operations of coal yard equipment at the Allen S. King Generating Plant in Bayport, MN. You will operate MERP-installed equipment and coal conveyors, manage coal conveying systems and in-plant bunkers, and communicate effectively with plant personnel across rotating shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate MERP installed equipment and coal conveyors
- Use full knowledge of coal conveying systems and in-plant bunker management
- Communicate constructively with plant personnel verbally and in writing
- Follow written operating and maintenance procedures
- Perform work from scaffolding and catwalks in high and confined areas

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced Coal and Ash Handler who can safely operate coal yard equipment and coal conveyors using strong mechanical ability and physical dexterity. They are comfortable working outdoors in all weather, following written operating and maintenance procedures, communicating constructively with plant personnel, and passing the EEI POSS/MASS Test.
