About this role
The Yard Jockey Non CDL is responsible for safe trailer and yard operations, including moving trailers between buildings, staging shuttle trailers nightly, and preparing backhauls for unloading. The role coordinates closely with the Dispatcher/Router and supports mechanics and warehouse operations during the shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with Dispatcher/Router for truck/trailer and door assignments
- Keep assigned equipment coupled and ready
- Move trailers between buildings and stage shuttle trailers nightly
- Set up backhauls with tractor and empty pallets and place in correct door
- Work with mechanics nightly and assist with yard operational readiness

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a DOT physical. They are comfortable working in a yard/warehouse environment, coordinating with dispatch/routers for door and trailer assignments, and safely handling trailer moves, staging, and backhaul setup.
