About this role
This role performs a variety of outdoor yard and warehouse activities under direct supervision, including operating a forklift to move product. You will assist customers with locating and loading product, keep inventory stocked, complete paperwork, and follow safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in locating and loading product
- Review materials loaded against invoice or requisition and route paperwork
- Move product/material throughout the yard to correct placement areas
- Ensure product/material is well stocked of inventory at all times
- Perform routine cleanup and follow safety procedures
Technical Overview
The job focuses on safe operation of forklift and other material-handling equipment in an outdoor yard environment. It also involves handling paperwork associated with invoices and requisitions and maintaining inventory and yard organization while complying with safety procedures.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level yard and warehouse worker with at least six months of experience performing similar yard activities. They must have OSHA Forklift Certification and be able to operate a forklift safely while providing strong customer service and completing invoice/requisition paperwork accurately.
